In order to ensure the security and well-being of its citizens, the municipality has an RCMP detachment, a fire station and an ambulance service. The village also has a medical center and a dental clinic. The offices of provincial and federal services can also be found in the village and at the municipal building.

Modern technology allows a more effective public security service to be delivered to area residents. The municipality also has an Emergency Measures plan in case of any major disaster in the area. The plan includes information on such items as: jaws of live, lifesaving sled, and an emergency vehicle stationed at a command post in case of disaster.

Neguac’s firefighting brigade has 23 volunteer members. The village provides service for the entire region of Neguac from Wisharts Point to Bartibogue Bridge to Lavillette.
