One of the responsibilities of public works is to maintain
the roads in good condition. Sidewalks and lighting also contributes to the safety of our pedestrians and drivers.
The municipality benefits from a modern rain sewer
system that ensures drainage of rain and melting snow.
The majority of village residents also have access to a (egout sanitaire). It is important to note that the municipalitys drinking water comes from private wells.
During the winter months, the public works team is responsible for keeping our streets clean. To facilitate snow removal, it is parking on municipal roads is prohibited between midnight and seven in the morning from November to April inclusive. Street sanding reduces the dangers of ice accumulation. The streets are cleaned on a priority basis with the largest and most used routes cleaned first.
Village roads are clearly identified and signs indicate various speed limits. All vehicles are prohibited from accessing public beaches. This rule is in place to ensure protection of the fragile beach environment. To provide access to the water, the municipality provides several ramps for putting boats into the water.
